About Us

Spronk's Provisioning has been catering to mega-yachts visiting Grenada and the Grenadines for the past few years, since the 2001 - 2002 season. The Spronk family has been totally immersed in the yachting world for a couple of generations now, as Peter Spronk, pioneering catamaran designer and builder, made his clear imprint on the multihull world. Peter and his wife, Myrna, spent over forty years designing and building boats, racing and organizing regattas in the Caribbean and England. Peter's son, Roger, thus grew up in the yachting world and continues the Spronk legacy.
Roger and his mother, Myrna, ran the Boatyard Restaurant and Tiki Bar, in Grenada, for the past seven years, and have opened a new restaurant and bar, called Bananas, in True Blue, Grenada, since the beginning of July 2004. Roger and his wife, Claire, have been operating Spronk's Provisioning for the last few seasons, working closely with marinas in St. Maarten, where Roger grew up, to ensure that the whole Caribbean can be catered to. Since the beginning of 2004, Claire and Roger have added another dimension to their provisioning service - the_gourmet_store. Formerly The Lazy Larder, Claire and Roger bought this gourmet importing business to augment their service to the yachts.
Together, Spronk's Provisioning and the_gourmet_store aim to provide a totally comprehensive service to mega-yachts in Grenada and the Grenadines. From arranging steel-bands playing in the Grenadines, to getting drain pipe cleaners for their clients, Claire and Roger operate under the principle that if it can be done, they can do it for you, and do it well!
Spronk's Provisioning and the_gourmet_store can now be found in two locations - at Martin's Marina, Secret Harbour (the site of the old Moorings, Grenada, base) and at True Blue, in the same building housing Bananas Restaurant and Bar.
Visit Spronk's Provisioning and make your stop in Grenada and the Grenadines easy, hassle-free and worthwhile.
